Samsung Unveils NFT Integration For Smart TVs
Samsung has unveiled ambitious plans for 2022 – with NFTs front and centre!
Besides the updated TV hardware, the company also announced a New Smart Hub and other apps for improved user experience.
The New Smart Hub will have several new features that will bring its users closer to the Metaverse. One of the features is a groundbreaking NFT Platform that will support NFT trading on the new Smart TVs.
This application features an intuitive, integrated platform for discovering, purchasing and trading digital artwork through MICRO LED, Neo QLED and The Frame.
Moreover, some other features include a Gaming Hub, a Watch Together app, and a new generation of Smart Calibration.
The tech giant also presented its new Smart TV accessories and features. Samsung made the announcement one day ahead of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2022.
The Korean tech giant implements the NFT platform to solve a tremendous worldwide NFT demand. Therefore, it plans to bring NFT tech to smart TVs.
With demand for NFTs on the rise, the need for a solution to today’s fragmented viewing and purchasing landscape has never been greater.
Furthermore, according to the preview of the upcoming NFT platform, users will preview NFTs before buying them. Users will always use the new Smart Calibration to see the previewed NFT in the best possible quality.
Samsung’s Smart Calibration technology automatically adjusts its display settings to the creator’s preset values, so you can have peace of mind that your work looks impeccable, with true-to-the-original image quality.
Samsung also offers its users to learn about the world of NFTs in the help section of the platform.
Big Plans In Gaming
Moreover, Samsung also has plans related to gaming. Like the NFTs, games will have their platform on the new Smart TVs. In addition, the company confirmed that they partnered with NVIDIA GeForce Now, Stadia, and Utomik.
The partner companies work on subscription-based cloud gaming. That means that gamers can play game titles without buying the games themselves. Instead, they will have direct access to their provider’s whole game library.
Users will also game together using Samsung’s Gaming Hub platform. That’s not the only social integration that Samsung offers. Its new Watch Together app will allow users to use video chat while watching movies and shows together.
In its latest press release, Samsung revealed many new advancements on its new series of 2022 Smart TVs. These range from new critical hardware such as a new processor and sound system to simple quality of life improvements.
Moreover, Samsung announced a new Matte Display. The display will feature anti-glare, anti-reflection, and anti-fingerprint properties. Samsung will implement the collection in the new Frame, Serif, and Sero series of 2022 smart TVs.
NFT and Art
Samsung also developed a state of the art MICRO LED display. The new tech will give users a better image quality and depth. It also allows users to customize their production and use it in different modes. One of these is the Art Mode.
Users can use the Art Mode to display their galleries in the optimal settings for art. As a result, users will showcase their NFTs in the art mode.
To start their collection, users will also get exclusive artwork. In addition, the 2022 MICRO LED series will come with two exclusive NFTs from the designer Refik Anadol.
